It's terrace time in Holland, that glorious time of year when the merest whisper of sunshine brings Dutchies out in droves, searching for the perfect outdoor seating or, in fact, any outdoor seating. Glancing around on a sunny day, I've often found myself wondering if anybody in this country works. Well, when the weather's fine, apparently not. And who can blame us when we usually have to put up with miserable grey skies and rain? Not this spring, however. For one day last week, the Netherlands was the hottest country in Europe! So, here are my picks for
the top terraces in Rotterdam, that bustling port city on the Maas river, famous for having Europe's largest harbor. Let's get out there and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
