Stollen, those lovely fruited breads filled with almond paste, are enjoyed throughout the year these days, but they're especially popular at Christmas and Easter. Strictly traditional our version is not. We use dried cranberries and orange liqueur instead of the usual raisins and brandy, and we recently tried one with chocolate chips and ginger. In fact, this kerststol recipe can easily be adapted to your own tastes.
