You'll find slavinken at every Dutch butcher and supermarket. These bacon-wrapped pork parcels are usually served as a main with boiled potatoes and veggies. Yup, this is your classic Dutch meat & two veg, a very traditional Dutch dinner choice. My recipe includes so-called 'meat herbs' from the 17th century, which add a flavorful touch.
