Favorite Dutch Foodie Finds 2013 - Chocolade Muisjes

By February 12, 2013

Follow me on:

While traditional, we've never been fans of old-fashioned beschuit met muisjes, those rusk-like discs topped with sugar-covered aniseed that is served to celebrate births in the Netherlands. So we were happy to find a delicious substitute at Amsterdam-based chocolatier Van Velze's - rounds of milk- and dark chocolate topped with blue-and-white muisjes (for a boy) or pink-and-white (for a girl) muisjes.

I’m no fan either of the ‘traditional beschuit met muisjes’, the chocolate disks are a great idea! We had muisjes with blue marzepain, also a good alternative!

Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Dear Acne,

I’ll take your interest in the platform as a compliment, but this site is not a personal blog. In fact, it is one of About.comís 900+ topic sites, or guide sites. About.com is part of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI), a leading internet company with more than 50 fast-growing, highly-related brands serving loyal consumer audiences.

Warmest regards,
