Favorite Dutch Foodie Finds 2013 - Chocolade Muisjes

While traditional, we've never been fans of old-fashioned beschuit met muisjes, those rusk-like discs topped with sugar-covered aniseed that is served to celebrate births in the Netherlands. So we were happy to find a delicious substitute at Amsterdam-based chocolatier Van Velze's - rounds of milk- and dark chocolate topped with blue-and-white muisjes (for a boy) or pink-and-white (for a girl) muisjes.

I’m no fan either of the ‘traditional beschuit met muisjes’, the chocolate disks are a great idea! We had muisjes with blue marzepain, also a good alternative!

Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this website?
