DOK, situated in the handsome 19th century Passage (allegedly the oldest mall in the Netherlands), offers pretty much everything you could need for your kitchen and table. Their selection of cooking- and baking equipment - from large ovens and pro-sized pans and appliances, to chef's knives, spatulas, plateware and cookbooks - will appeal to both professional chefs and amateur cooking enthusiasts. It's no surprise considering that DOK is a collaborative effort by three of the Netherlands' best cookware stores, Duikelman, Oldenhof and Kookpunt. We particularly liked their colorful collection of silicone baking molds.

A display of copper pans and colorful Le Creuset cookware lures you into En Garde on pretty Prinsestraat (no. 63) near Noordeinde Palace. The store's range of professional quality equipment, including brands such as Mauviel, Rösle, Fissler and Sabatier, is sure to keep the home cooking crowd happy.
