Definition: National Restaurant Week is a discount dining week organized by DiningCity, a Dutch restaurant site. Held twice a year, generally in February/March and August/September, three-course dinners are offered for €27,50 and 3-course lunches for €22,50 at some 750+ participating Dutch restaurants nationwide. Due to the week's enduring popularity, tables at the most coveted restaurants are often snapped up in minutes. Go to www.restaurantweek.nl for dates and details.

As of 2013 there is also a French-themed version of Restaurant Week, focusing on French restaurants in the Netherlands. Check out www.franserestaurantweek.nl for more information.
